RICK THOMAS: Mansion of Dreams

David Danced for Las Vegas Illusionist,

Rick Thomas

A Masquerade Opening.

The show opens in a grand hall where dancers, clad in black and white tuxedos, elegantly position themselves. The choreography evokes the atmosphere of a late 19th-century ball and incorporates elements of Ballroom dancing. It is a creative fusion of steps and inspirations from the Viennese Waltz, Slow Waltz, Tango, and even Paso Doble. During the dance breaks, the star of the show, Tara Thomas, captivates the audience with her contemporary style.

“… Cheer! For your Favorite Couple!!”

Rick Thomas, a competitor in both Latin and Standard DanceSport, desired to incorporate a ballroom contest into his show. Referred to simply as "Ballroom" backstage, this segment is an imaginative rendition of what a real dance competition might look like. Adorned with sparkles and rhinestones, the number is both visually stunning and captivating to watch. Rooted in "character" Jazz, it draws its steps and emotions from Latin American dances such as Samba, Cha-Cha, and Paso Doble. This dance segment serves as the perfect introduction to Rick Thomas's masterful illusion, "Air Adage."
